The County Assessors Office will have a representative at the Gettysburg General Meeting, January 23, 2017, who will cover such topics as: how property is valued, how to file exemptions, how to protest a valuation, and the role of the excise board.  Property owners can have a copy of the Assessor’s public data sheet for their property and become knowledgeable on how to use their website.

WELCOME TO GETTYSBURG

The Welcome Committee welcomed 4 new families into our Gettysburg Community this past year.  As always, if you have not met your new neighbors, please take the time to introduce yourself and extend a helping hand with any assistance that they may need.

In that regard, we especially want to extend a THANK YOU to our neighbors who graciously gave of their time and energy to help a neighbor in need with lawn care.  Your kindness has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated.  We as a community should strive to extend a hand when needed, whether it’s picking up trash along side the road, notifying the Board of items in need of repair in common areas, or especially tending to the needs of others who are unable to do for themselves.

OUR PRESIDENT – WARREN HARDING

As of January 23, 2018, Warren Harding will resign from his position as Gettysburg HOA President.  Warren has served as Gettysburg HOA President from 2015 and under Warren’s leadership, the Board has accomplished a great deal in keeping the community safe and beautiful.

Thanks Warren for doing a GREAT JOB!

WIND AND TORNADO DAMAGE

As a result of High Winds and Tornadoes this past year, our community has had more than its fair share of roof and tree damage.  Our utmost concern is for the safety of our residents, and fortunately all fared well.  Attached you will find a form with the guidelines re: roof replacement (Article 3.4A) and tree requirements (Article 3.13).  As with any exterior change, the Board is always willing to work with the homeowner on an individual basis.  The Board realizes that not all lots can support the 2 tree covenant, because of lot size, and variances will be considered.
